New Beginnings

She was alive. If you could call hiding out from her Monster being alive. Carly needed to start over - somewhere where her Monster couldn’t find her. They knew he was watching. Finding him had become a full-time job for her ex-military brother, Corbin. Now he was forced to agree with Carly. She had to get away. With her brother’s help, Carly has her new life ahead of her. All she needed now was to escape without being seen. Little did she know that this new life would be one of challenges, mystery and love. It includes a young child who was dealing with trauma in her life. The father isn’t so sure Carly is what his daughter needs. There is also an old mystery that Carly has found she has the ability to solve.

D. K. Duncan lives in the Midwest. She is married and has two children and two grandchildren. As an avid reader she never thought she would have written a book at the age of 64. But, then again, life is all about change. Never backing away from a challenge herself, she decided her short story needed to be told. She hopes you enjoy.
