Twin sisters Cass and Becca have lived their whole life in a small, isolated town under the control of the United, an all-powerful government that believes a separate but equal society is the only way to ensure security and prosperity. Thrown into a maximum security prison, Becca’s captors force her to fight her fellow inmates, to fight for survival. She’s given no trial and no explanation for her incarceration, just relentless brutality to be followed by an execution. Her only hope is Cass. She has to believe that her sister will find her. That Cass will stop following the rules and start breaking them, before her jailers find out the truth: they took the wrong twin.
