Lessons Learned from Wisdom’s Words

Are songs that were penned,

That have yet to be heard.

Written while living,

In Poverty,

In Nashville, Music City, Tennessee.

It was April 23rd 2009,

When I decided, my life,

Was a waste of my time.

I’d really not like,

To try to explain,

My life of addiction,

To crack cocaine.

But let me make one thing, Perfectly clear.

The End of the Line,

Was what got me here.

I arrived alive,

On a Greyhound Bus,

And from that moment on,

In God, I Trust.

For my every need,

My Destiny,

And my Dream,

That he promised,

He’d help me achieve.

I knew that I had,

Something to say,

And only through Music,

Would I find a way.

That was how,

It was back then.

That was how it all began.

That was how,

You got this book,

Of songs that were penned,

By the hand of a friend,

I started to write for, The Contributor

A monthly, homeless sold, Street paper.

That’s where my song lyrics, First appeared,

Month after month,

For seven years.

A lot has happened,

To me since then.

There’s a movie about,

My experience.

A Documentary,

Called Saint Cloud Hill

I think it’s worth watching.

I hope that you will.

I came here to Nashville,

With nine songs produced,

But getting them heard,

Was a hard thing to do.

Since then, I’ve added,

A few more to boot,

And after this book,

I’ll be sharing them too.

My words put to music,

Will change people’s lives.

A movie, a book,

And Familiar Lullabies

So now, with so much,

I still have to do.

I’ll end this by saying,

Good Night,

Sweet Dreams,

And God Bless You.
