Cold War Fleet is a selection of photographs of Royal Navy vessels from the 25 years from 1966 to 1991. The vessels are primarily warships, but also include naval auxiliaries and port vessels. Each is reproduced at a high standard, accompanied by a detailed caption. May of the photos are completely unique and have never been published, for example the minesweepers ‘Wilton’ and ‘Bossington’ photographed during Operation Rheostat in 1974 at Lake Timsah on the Suez Canal. There are many ships that took part in the Falklands conflict and a large number of aerial photographs.

The photographs are presented 2-up on a page in a large format and are arranged by type (aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers), subdivided into classes (eg Leander class, Amazon class) then by individual ship. Preference has been given to showing different viewpoints and appearances so there are sometimes several different views of the same ship but at different angles and configurations.
