As the leader of the Seneca Wolf Clan Kyasuta had stood watch over the Ohio River. He was a warrior, a war chief, and a diplomat during very critical times in our early history. Whether it was peace or war, Kyasuta's presence would be felt by the new white settlers in the old Northwest Territory.

The Mingwe Kyasuta tells the story of the European settlers encroachment upon the land west of the Appalachian Mountains from Kyasuta's perspective. It gives insight into the Native American tribes who lived east of the Mississippi River during a time when the Ohio country was the west and when the Ohio River was the western jump off point into the New World.
