It takes a community for academic success to be realized; my family, friends and church community played a pivotal role in my academic achievements, and I am grateful.

I was driven by an inspiration from God to write this book. When I was in one of the darkest moments of academic failure in my life, I held on to God’s promises. There are many young persons who are at this spot in life, and this book will encourage them to believe that they can be successful.

Three ingredients are essential for success: dedication to God, hard work and the belief that you can do it!

I am a wife, mother, physician and most importantly, a daughter of a King (Jesus). An island girl, born and raised on a little rock, Jamaica, I struggled academically throughout the years. However, it was my faith in God, hard work and a drive to succeed that kept me going. As I have journeyed with God in my academics, he has blessed me more than I can ask, think or imagine. I am still in awe. I am humbled by God’s blessings and give all the glory to him for my academic success.
