The popular online puzzle makes its print debut!

Of the many games that appeared online in the wake of the Wordle craze, Waffle is one of the best: easy to understand, fun to solve and surprisingly well-suited to pencil-and-paper solving. The basic rules are simple: You are given a mini-crossword in which the letters have been scrambled. Letters on green squares are in the right position. Letters on yellow squares are in the right word, but not in the right position. (If they're on an intersection, they could be in either crossing word.) Letters on white squares are not in the right word. Using logic and language skills, solvers narrow down what letters go where, crossing them off as they go, until their waffle is ready to serve!
