JR: The Chronicles of San Francisco

For two weeks in 2018, internationally acclaimed artist JR brought his mobile photo studio to San Francisco and set out to create a portrait of the city in over 1,000 people. The individual portraits will combine to form a vast photographic mural to be installed at SFMOMA in early 2019. This book tells the story of the project and the story of the city.
