The year is 2056, and the Tri United States has outgrown its capacity to feed its people. Even though the Sumon Games keep their minds off the soaring gas prices, and the overcrowded cities, the constant need for food and basic living essentials is becoming worse. And yet select government officials must address a far greater problem … The Island.

Ascen Colbert, a historical researcher for the government, uncovers an ancient Indian curse on the presidency that may be the root cause of presidential assassinations every twenty years. Ascen is also a member of a long distance swimming team based in Galveston, Texas.

Early one March morning, Ascen swims further than the required fifteen miles, and discovers a secret island shrouded in fog. This discovery and his subsequent return will place him in direct contact with The Guardian of the Underworld, Hydra.

During Ascen and Ophelia’s stay on The Island, they will learn of a compromise between God and the Pleiades, agreed on 20,000 years ago, for control of Earth.

Ascen and Ophelia, with the help of Abel, will battle Hydra to save the Earth and humanity so Abel can be born again on The Island.
