This book represents a tentative attempt at a life of St. Joasaph of Belgorod, a wonderworking 18th-century Russian bishop numbered among the saints of the Orthodox Church. While widely known and long venerated in Russia and Ukraine, he is not as well known yet among the growing body of English-speaking Orthodox faithful - especially those of Western convert backgrounds. This modest booklet is attempt to make at least a small beginning toward remedying this lack of awareness and making this amazing saint - and wonderful heavenly intercessor - better known to our faithful in the English-speaking world.
