Jensen had a privileged upbringing with wealthy parents living in "Charlbury Manor" in Windsor, just outside London. On his eighteenth birthday, he was allowed to pass through a door to a basement room, a room that had been off-limits his entire life. What he discovered was something he never thought possible; his dad had invented a "Gateway", a faster than light transport device that you could just walk through and exit in another location. He was supposed to keep it a secret, but that didn't last long. After a long evening of partying, he returned home with his girlfriend, drunk. This was tantamount to trouble. Having already broken the rule by showing her the room, he was to have an accident, fall into the "Gateway", and send himself where he would not get back. Now, the life he had to lead coincided with a dream his dad used to have. They called it Progression, when his mind took him to a future place. This was that place, seven years in the future. Life as we know it in 2023 was soon to change; the entire globe was about to change. Jensen was now experiencing it. It wasn't going to be easy, and he would have to make a life for himself. Would he ever see his parents again? Jensen had not regressed, he had not progressed, he was here and now.
