Le 11 septembre 2001, Brandon, neuf ans, s'en va travailler avec son pere au World Trade Center a New York. Sorti de nulle part, et comme dans un cauchemar, un avion s'enfonce dans la tour, semant terreur et confusion. Le meme jour, en Afghanistan, une bataille eclate dans le village dechire par la guerre de Reshmina, une fillette de onze ans. Elle rencontre un soldat americain blesse et doit prendre une decision difficile. Ce choix affectera-t-il la famille de Reshmina? Brandon survivra-t-il au chaos de New York?

On September 11, 2001, nine-year-old Brandon is going to work with his dad at the World Trade Center in New York City. Out of nowhere, an airplane slams into the tower, and a nightmare of terror and confusion ensues. On the same day in Afghanistan eighteen years later, a battle erupts in eleven-year-old Reshmina’s war-torn village. She encounters a wounded American soldier and is called to make a tough decision.

Will Brandon survive the chaos in New York? How will Reshmina’s decision in Afghanistan affect her and her family?
