When Jack Teal walks out of a Texas prison, his home for over three years, he collects his hidden cash and sets out to continue his former life. On his way to San Diego, he meets a head strong woman who throws his plans into turmoil. Abruptly, he changes his plans and drives to Northern California where he reconnects with an old friend, a restaurant owner dedicated to giving his employees a chance at success.
