Dante has been called the Father of Italian Language . Convito, The Banquet is a collection of Dante’s longest poems with an unfinished allegorical commentar. This 1887 translation was produced by Elizabeth Price Sayer with an introduction by Henry Morely LL.D., Professor Of English Literature At University College, London.
