The Moray Eel

The moray eel looks scary and this creature’s sharp fangs can deliver a painful bite. However, this snakelike creature that is often brightly colored to match the colors of the coral reef will not harm those who do not bother it. Students will learn about the moray’s unusual relationship with a tiny fish known as the wrasse and why the moray will wrap itself into a tight knot after a meal.
