My Graduate Career is Min’s autobiography. In this book, she combines seven journals recording her work and personal experiences as an international student in the United States. Specifically, Min tells readers stories about how she interacts with professors, staff members, colleagues, and undergraduates, how she accomplishes her academic works, and how she deals with organizational politics. Min also tells readers stories about how she handles her tragic accident and illness, how she perceives romantic relationships, and how she communicates with her family and friends. Additionally, Min observes people that she encounters and events that she participates in, comments on heated topics in media, and draws comparisons between American and Chinese culture. She adds these observations, comments, and comparisons to this book.
