Beneath my skin is an intimate portrait of myself as well as the things that I have felt and experienced so far in my life. Growing up I was always in my own world. The people around me often not knowing, that I was experiencing things that would one day become a collection of poems that you are about to read today. We are all human and experience things throughout our lifetime. I just hope that my love, joy and pain will make it easier to understand why we go through things. Beneath My Skin reveals many corners of who I am as a person, each corner having its own face. There were many times in my life, that I felt that I was hiding behind my own shadows, just waiting for my identity to be revealed. Throughout these chapters in my life I have become more familiar with who I am and no longer do I hide in the shadows, I am now able to view my own reflection. Hopefully my poetry will touch a special place in your heart, because all I want to do is have the opportunity to give unspoken words voice, and if I have done that, I have not only done my job as a writer but as a person as well.
