This trip to old Atlantis is a funny, read aloud book. Not quite satire, and no evil spooks or spells, we find many similarities between our times and theirs. This discovery adventure follows a young girl of the brown race finding her way into a career of battling reptile invasions of their cities. We learn culture and values of those times under the warm embrace of fiction, and can make our own conclusions about the matters of theology, ceremony, conflict and the power of friendship that Jena encounters. This is a fun way to get there without paragraph long sentences or suggestive themes, although there is some violence here and there. But that's what you get with reptoid invasions. And she finds that even those can have alternate endings.
