"You always get an "A" on your story," I heard recently. What exactly that means, I am not completely sure, but I do know that stories are what make us interesting. When people ask you about your life, they don't want to hear dates and places, they want to hear stories. What makes you "you?" For a long time I did not know what my story was...or more correctly, I did not think my story was interesting enough to tell, or that I had the skills to tell it. This is all probably true, but "you always get an A on your story." This little story is just a bit of myself that I wanted to pass down to my children when they ask me "what was it like when..." I hope they find it interesting, as they will probably be the only ones who do. That's okay. It's still my story.
