For the past couple of months, little Carol Anne Smith has been living with her adopted family; the Johnsons, since they fled the evil clutches of Doctor Benjamin Langdon. It isn't long, however, before Carol Anne becomes homesick and hatches a plan to steal one of Tom and Karen Johnson's golden seashell-necklaces that has the power to turn mermaids into humans, as well as the reverse as Carol Anne had the misfortune of finding out.
