What started as a collection of notes by a veteran missionary for his Sunday School class became became a fully-fledged book published at the request of his children. In this study, one can see the power of the Holy Spirit operate to establish the early church, empower new believers to proclaim the Gospel, and equip those believers to spread the gospel from its origins in Judaism to touch the Gentile world, fulfilling the mandate of the Great Commission. More importantly, this volume helps modern Christians see how God is still at work both in today's church and in individual lives to build His kingdom, while encouraging the believer to evaluate his or her own responsibility to carry the Gospel into all the world.
