At a young age my mother suffered a brain aneurysm. A few years later my father had a mental breakdown and was hospitalized. At a young age I knew what it was like to be on my own. I helped raise my siblings, and protected my family from an abusive father. The memoir entitled "Resilient: One Boy's Story" focuses on all of these occurrences that happened as a child as well as how I resolved them and turned my life around.
