The revision of the book was completed in the spring of 1989 for the purpose of getting published. The publication was scheduled for the same year. Mr Xie was black-listed, however, by the authorities after the June 4 incident, and the Publishing House was forbidden to publish new books by Mr. Xie. The Publishing House actually tore up the agreement on publication unilaterally...
