Many Christian denominations unite around a three-year set of Bible readings, called the Revised Common Lectionary. The Gospel of Matthew is the main reading in year one, Mark follows the next year and then Luke. The Gospel of John is interspersed throughout each of those years. Rev. Arlyn L.
