Lovers Moon is a beautifully written work of 21 Zen-themed poems; each one being a little gem in its own right. There is an element of the esoteric in the author's writing style that seems to convey his own soul's deep yearning to the reader. However, within all the seemingly other-worldly content, Author Richard F Holmes also manages to give the reader an insight insight into his sense of humour: "It's quite a paradoxical phenomenon when Zen rears its head, because on one hand, it's a truly mind-blowing experience, but on the other hand, it's like having a little mini light-bulb moment where you just go "oh yeah...so that's how it is." Things don't necessarily get any easier, it's just a case that you now understand the mechanics of why life is always like a box of frogs on acid."
