A collection of 89 song lyrics suitable for the solo voice and group singing. The songs are presented in three sections. Volume I contains seventeenth century Royalist songs, popular songs and black letter ballads suitable for use by re-enactmentor and in theatre productions. Volumes II and III contain more recent folk songs and sea shanties. All three volumes are bound in this single edition which has been typeset in the style of black latter ballads using an antique type face with woodcut illustrations.
