Greenlaw in Berwickshire since early times was the county town and headquarters of the local justiciary. The area has been populated continuously since the days of pre history and was on the receiving end of wave after wave of attack from Romans, Angles, Saxons and the Vikings. In more recent times, the town has settled down in to a quiet rural community, no longer a seat of politics or law but still the pride remains and its ancient history will never die. it is also the destination for many visitors to the local holiday park who marvel at the ancient church and the sublime architecture of the town hall. Many wonderful walks are to be had through the woodlands and on the side of the River Blackadder.
