There had been blue lightning arcing and burning over the Great Stones of Avalon the night that the young warrior, Galahad, had so mysteriously appeared there. But who is Galahad and can Merlin truly trust him? Merlin's father, the Elder god, Mithras Invictus, tells him that he can trust the boy warrior with his life but Merlin is not so sure. Avalon is threatened by the Lord of Chaos and his Lords of Winter and Merlin needs all the help that he can get.
