Michael "Mista Meana" Patterson has built a legendary career as one of the pioneers in the New Orleans rap scene, a father, husband, and businessman. After meeting Kango Slimm, in high school through a mutual friend, the pair teamed up and formed the rap group, Partners-N-Crime. Partners-N-Crime had widespread success in Louisiana and across the states with their single "Let the Good Times Roll", a song that discusses the social change in the black community in the year 1994. This year was one of the most violent years in New Orleans, the "City of Social Justice".
