Why the title? It's like the start of a race, which would be correct in more ways than one. Why choose only the first few chapters of Genesis? It is a personal choice, which for me is the foundation stone on which I base my faith. Theologians and fellow believers may say it shouldn't be, for our faith should be based on Christ alone, or His incarnation, or atonement, or death and resurrection and so on. True, but perhaps being basic, and without being trite, if there was no created world, I wouldn't be writing this, or have any thoughts because I wouldn't exist, nor the pen and paper (and laptop) I am using to write these notes!* Secondly, but inextricably linked to the latter, if man had not fallen, I wouldn't have felt the need to write any of the books I have done to date, at least not the theological ones, or written notes for the ones I have planned to write next. I may still have the desire to write, but subjects would be written from a totally different perspective. For me, the first three chapters contain so much information it is staggering and is the base on which my faith makes sense, if indeed that makes sense!
