The text is in coded and encrypted Latin and the 413-page book contains nine medieval woodcut engravings that play a fundamental role in the process of summoning demonic forces. This book is the result of much research and a careful reconstruction and editing of the original text by Michael James Jaquish and it contains all nine original engravings shown in the movie. The spirit world holds many mysteries and this book is one of them.
