After the portal incident of last semester, Cian has never been more grateful to have some peace and quiet. But the easy lazy life will not last long now that the former President has returned from her leave of absence. To fill in the void left by the traitorous vampire Rauf, Dr. Nocte has returned to clean up the mess he left behind. The Astral Unicorn has her own inner turmoil to confront as she rushes the school to accept some fairly unethical new rules, and a rather uncomfortable new program. Her primary focus now is Lavendula, the now magic-wielding undead human. Lav had all summer to recover and enjoy her new abilities, as well as cope with the loss of her mentor.
