Sgt. Dan Patron of the United States Marine Corps was killed on August 6, 2011 while attempting to diffuse an IED in Sangin, Afghanistan. He was my brother. Over time, the best way to curb my anger and sadness was to write down my thoughts and feelings. Of Brothers: Poetry Inspired by the Life and Death of My Hero is a collection of these raw emotions.
