The African American community in the United States has been in crisis for as long as they have been able to free themselves from Jim Crow and Slavery. However, there have been a lot of individual achievements of African Americans, but very little in the way of the community benefiting from those achievements. The issue is not about the victim mindset that has been sold to the community, but more about the inability of the community to move on with a sense of dignity about its true past of greatness and excellence.
