The Bible of Simpson

The story of human civilization is one of perpetual rise and fall, a tapestry woven with threads of innovation, conquest, culture and eventual decline. Throughout history, various civilizations have emerged, flourished and ultimately diminished, each leaving behind lessons that continue to resonate today. Winston Simpson and his only companion since youth have been in a world of chaos and destruction for 26 years, the results of a devastating and unforeseen solar outburst, them wondering if other members of the human race might also have survived. Stumbling into the decaying remains of what once was a library, he begins to find shards of brittle Bible pages beginning with the book of Revelations. Remembering that the Bible was "the good book", the story is piecing together in what appears more of a dark, foreboding and evil chapter of destruction and doom. Undeterred for two decades, Simpson has pieced together, right or wrong, his "Bible" - The Rules for Living - to serve in the event that other residents of the planet are ever found. Once content at their home in the massive library in Memphis, they reach the conclusion that other humans surely also survived and begin an adventurous and revealing quest into unknown lands to locate, assemble and reunite the Human Race.
