In July, A.D. 29, nine months before Christ would be Crucified, Jesus and the Apostles sailed to the northeast corner of the Sea of Galilee, disembarked near Bethsaida, and began ministering in the Golan Heights. Jesus' enemies, largely based in Jerusalem, were seeking to arrest Him and try Him for heresy. Jesus got far away from them to spend time training His men. Jesus, Peter, James, and John spent one night on a high plateau of Mount Hermon, where Jesus was transfigured. As Jesus' enemies cooled, He moved back into Galilee. By October, He felt He and His men could attend Succoth in Jerusalem. Jesus often spoke of His Death, Resurrection, Ascension to Heaven, the Rapture, the Tribulation, His return to Earth, and the Millennial Kingdom. Next, He led an intense evangelistic campaign throughout Judea, returning to Jerusalem for Hanukkah. When Lazarus died, Jesus revived him. Then, He returned to the area where "John the Baptist" had immersed Him. From there He headed to Jerusalem for Passover Week. He passed through Jericho where He healed several blind men and saved Zacchaeus. He hiked to Bethany, near Jerusalem, and lodged with Lazarus, where Mary anointed His feet. A few days later, Jesus entered Jerusalem at the head of the massive, first, "Palm Sunday" parade.
