In the year 2054, the United States was experiencing economic challenges that the government felt a change was required across the country to manage the decline. The Department of National Progression was formed and they created the Scales of Fate that would place the citizens of the country into classes based upon their test scores achieved during an implemented test. The nation adopted the new practice in a means to better themselves economically. Now, 30 years later, the Gold Class rule with an iron fist and rumors of a rebellion are being spoken.
