Alchemical Mercury Regulus of Antimony and Mars

It is a bleak, rainy morning in October 2015, almost a decade after terrorists have destroyed the power grid, leaving the world dark. A group of six marauders on horseback race onto Alexander Hunter’s farm from beneath the rusted-out power lines to destroy his world. His SEAL training turns the tables on them, and he is able to wipe out the entire gang. Alex’s wife has been away, caring for her ailing mother. He arms himself to make the trek across South Mountain with all his possessions in a rag-tag pack train. His world darkens further from what he learns on the trip to Becky’s family farm.
