Sometime in the late 1970s, somewhere in the Rust Belt, a dope-smoking Vietnam veteran and a hitchhiking college co-ed take a wrong turn down a back country highway. In the course of one muggy spring day, they will encounter a kamikaze road contractor, a zen car thief, a maniacal paramedic, a senile congressman, a genteel drug pusher, a fugitive war criminal, great white hunters, gourmet hillbillies, jailbait hustlers and man-eating insects, workplace sabotage, domestic terrorism, bar fights, bad music, a nuclear accident of apocalyptic proportions, and even a kind of love. There’s just no telling what you’ll find once you know you’re lost.
