Mary Wrucke, the author, was born in North Dakota and now lives in Florida. If she lives until January 31, 2009, she will be ninety-seven, with three dozen grandchildren and great grandchildren, with the thirty-seventh expected in March 2009. Mary has written many stories for children, published in Christian publications. She observed the growth of a tadpole in a glass jar of water, and collaborated with her artist friend, Bev. Cooke, on the book, Timmy the Tadpole. She hopes to live long enough to see one of her grandchildren holding the book and asking her, aDid you really write it?a The photos show her with some of her three dozen grandchildren.
