Arne is a retired Army lieutenant colonel and a Vietnam vet. He has a Master of Science degree in political science from Kansas State College at Pittsburg, Kansas, and a Master of Science in education from Colorado University at Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a public school teacher, he taught in the lower grades for eighteen years. He also taught senior ROTC students military science as part of his military career. He is a national member of the aSons of the American Revolution.a Arneas years of experience across most of the twentieth century has shown him the moral decay in American culture. He believes the place to begin working is moving young people to make changes in their concept of pursuing an earthly life. So, he has written his thesis examining the qualities of character building, having the correct understanding of Christian service and how to keep finances in check. The book is based on the premise that because of the degradation of traditional moral values, as a society we are failing to perpetuate our culture. The social dynamics have changed so drastically among most people that they have lost sight of fairness, respect, being responsible and accountable and making sensible choices. Arne talks about getting young people to understand life and its responsibilities as the first step to building a good Christian experience. Ignoring moral issuescreates more irresponsibility and disrespect, which in turn brings about more laws to curb bad behavior, more police to enforce and less freedom for all.
