Cemetery Promises arose from the pent-up anger and frustration of an inner-city teacher who has had enough. I have been involved with young people practically all of my adult life. As a teacher, my young people have inspired, motivated, moved and touched me. And because of the love that I have for them, I cannot close my eyes and become a member of aoh thatas a shamea society. I hope that some part of this book will touch and move any and all who read it. Many of our young people are hurting, confused, lonely, searching and looking for someone to step in and make a difference. You can, I can, we can make a difference, one child at a time. Whatever we must do, we must get busy doing it. For it we don’t, then we accept the failure of Americaas future.
