The twenty-year marriage ends when Tyler Martin, age sixty-six, dies in the parking lot of his rental storage garages. His widow Elaine, and investigator for the sheriffas department Andy Anderson, collaborate to find the murderer. Mysterious phone calls continue throughout the story and weave more mystery. Elaine discovers Tyleras secret life when she sorts through the documents necessary for will probation. Sex, drugs and money were a large part of his life. Andy Anderson meets Dru Cowan, wife of Dan Cowan, when she files a missing personas report. Dan was Tyleras business partner. Dan disappears shortly before Tyler Martinas murder. The story moves from Texas to Cancun, Mexico. Even though Elaine discovers she is deceived by secrets from Tyleras past, she learns to survive.
