Schools and Universities on the Continent (1868)

A serial killer is killing young single women living alone on the riverfront in a horrendous way, then taking pictures of his victims and sending them to the cityas most popular radio talk-show host. Lieutenant Danny OaKeefe and Sidney Burke, who transferred to homicide from vice to advance his career, are partnered up and start working to solve the murders. The first victim is the daughter of a US Senator, and the pressure is put on the city government, including the chief of police, to find out who killed the senatoras daughter. An ambitious assistant DA wants to use this case as a vehicle to the top and gets the chief on her side as both OaKeefe and Burke try to unravel the mystery. They first suspect the super of the building where the Senatoras daughter was killed until he turns up dead. From that point on, OaKeefe and Burke are racing with time to find the serial killer before he strikes again.
