Miner’s Domestic Poultry Book: A Treatise on the History, Breeding, and General Management of Foreign and Domestic Fowls (1853)

I became a published writer when I was 24, and I thought to myself, Now what? See, being a writer has always been my dream, and I thought it would take a lifetime before I was published. Now that I was, I had a lot of thinking to do because I did not know where God was going to take me from this point. Well, after I spent about three months of praying and seeking Godas will for my life, He answered and told me that, yes, He still wanted me to write, but not for my own purposeafor His. That is when He guided me to write Encouragement for the Weary and the Weak. It has taken over a year to write this one, but I believe God is going to bless it and let it sell like crazy because He knows my heart is not in this for the money, but to see many come to Him through writing. When my first book, When Times Are Hard, was going to be published, I told God flat out, I donat care if I even receive two dollars; I just want people to know Him. Well, that is exactly what happened. I received a two-dollar royalty check about two or three months ago. I have not cashed it because it serves as a reminder that I am not in this for the money.
