Kate Fairchild, whose marriage of twelve years ends abruptly due to the betrayal of her unfaithful husband, finds herself alone, a single parent, with two children to support and care for. Kate is forced to go out into the business world and in so doing, discovers that she was the one who had always been the driving force, the glue that had held the family together. However, due to her courage as well as her perseverance, she ends up successful in business as well as romantically fulfilled.
