Objections, then, must be brought from some other source; and I think it will be found that they all resolve themselves into that based upon the a priori incredibility of such disclosures being ever, under any circumstances, or through any medium, made by God to man. This objection, which is singularly destructive in its bearing, can only be met, by showing that the alleged incredibility may be overcome by the force of countervailing evidence,?evidence of the existence of sufficient reasons on the part of God, for the bestowment of just such new revelations as those which Sweden- borg affirms to have been made through him.
