The intention of this book is to provide a body based, scientifically backed understanding of how our bodies function from a body mechanics perspective. It breaks down the physiology behind our psychology! It is also the delivery vehicle for what I have coined 'Nervous System Recalibration(c)', which is a series of skills that are designed to effectively recalibrate the human nervous system to operate appropriately for the environment the organism is currently in.

What is different from anything else out there is that it does not ascribe to the attempt to 'relax' as a mechanism for healing. This method is being oversold and underwhelming in its success. Instead, Nervous System Recalibration(c) focuses on enabling the person or client to manually recalibrate their nervous system so that it is acting appropriate to the environment they are in.

For example, it is appropriate and healthy to be more aroused while navigating rush hour traffic than while reading a book on the couch.

Although my clinical work was inspired by my service as a combat veteran and my passion for working with populations such as military, law enforcement and other first responders my research has led me to believe that the work contained in the book is equally applicable to any human that has a nervous system.

This book is dedicated anyone who has experienced the cost of service. Whether that service be to child, sibling or spouse, to community, or to country. Thank you for your service. Now let's take care of you!
