A baby is God's most precious gift to parents, bringing with it hope, new beginnings, and the promise of a future.

But what about when the unthinkable happens? What about when an infant dies? What happens to the unborn life in a miscarriage? Is there any comfort for the grieving parents left behind?

When Annabelle Hope came into the world on April 29, 2019, her parents already knew she would not be going home with them. They knew her lungs and kidneys were not properly developed, and she would not be able to survive outside the womb. They knew that welcoming their newborn baby girl meant also saying goodbye.

Yet even in their tears, Annabelle's mother and father clung to the promise that they would see her again.

This is Annabelle's story, told from her point of view. Her touching message to her parents is derived from what Scripture teaches about Heaven, the death of a young child, and the hope of all who trust the God of salvation.
