Shadows of Algoma

In the aftermath of World War II, David, a decorated soldier, returns to the serene wilderness of Michipicoten, Ontario, in northern Canada, hoping to rebuild his life with his Ojibwe wife, Miin, and their young son, Makwa. Like many returning veterans, he finds work in the local mines, hoping to provide for his family. But peace proves elusive as a sinister force begins to haunt the town-a malevolent entity from Indigenous lore known as the Wendigo.

When strange and deadly events grip the community, David is drawn into a perilous quest to confront this ancient evil. Deep in the mines, he discovers a strange, otherworldly object that thrusts him into a realm where the lines between legend and reality blur, forcing him to face the Wendigo.

As David confronts the Wendigo, another conflict brews closer to home. His growing bond with Sarah, the town's shopkeeper, threatens to unravel his marriage to Miin. With his heart divided and the stakes higher than ever, David must navigate his inner turmoil while protecting the family and town he holds dear.

Will David triumph over the Wendigo and his own demons, or will the darkness claim everything he holds sacred?
